The doctrine and teachings of Jesus were not intended to found a religion, but to create schools that would lead to spiritual enlightenment. Although their fates were different, something similar happened with Buddha. They both wanted to get closer to heaven itself: The Kingdom of God and the Nirvana may be equivalent.
Two millennia ago Jesus of Nazareth, later become Christ, breaks the tribal view of traditional Judaism and spiritual teaching of a doctrine aimed at all who will receive it. 540 years before, Siddhartha Gautama, later known as the Buddha leaves the Brahmanical tradition of Indian castes and accepted as disciples all men and women who wish to follow his doctrine of liberation.
After receiving the baptismal initiation by water (symbol of knowledge), (Jesus withdraws to the desert and remained in meditation for forty days.) There the call (the earthly ego, perpetual enemy of the spirit), tempts him like Christ. After that period of carrying Palestinian lonely again begins to gather his apostles.
