An explosion and subsequent fire resulted in flames which reached no less than fifty meters to ten kilometers from the urban area of \u200b\u200bMaicao on the road to the township Majayura around 8.30 last night.
This event caused a collective anxiety in the periphery of Maicao, it was thought that it was the gas pipeline which is exported to Maicao, which had collapsed or had been subjected to an attack. Then came another version around the explosion of a truck loaded with gasoline and others that put the imagination thought that it was the loss of an aircraft.
At press time there was no official report of the authorities and only known scenario of what could happen. The delay to reach the site of the explosion, was explained by a police officer and the drastic existing protocols to prevent subversion ambushes and other terrorist organizations.
